Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

One can dream right?  Oh well no snow for us once again.  I would have loved to have a long weekend but it was not meant to be.  It is so COLD out there it might as well have snowed.
I thought I would share with you some of my favorite books to read in January that deal with snow and snowmen.  Two of my favorite things.  I love it so much I plan on creating a snowman tree next year .  Stay tuned a freebie at the end of this post.  Keep on reading.  :)
Totally off topic but while I was on my break I also saw something I would like to hang on my door.  I am not the craftiest person when it comes to ribbon and things like that but I do want to attempt to make this.  Have you seen these?  They are ADORABLE.  I can't take credit for this one but I  am going to aspire to make it.  :)

Alright back to books that I like to use.  Here is a collection of my favorites to share with my own students.

I also promised a freebie so here it is.  Click on the picture.  I just added this snowman activity using compound words where the kids make wacky snowman and build compound words.  Fun freebie for you.  Enjoy!

  1. I did luck out and get a snow day today! Thanks for sharing some snowman books... I've never heard of Sneezy the Snowman so I'm going to check into that one with my librarian next week!
